This book is in a class of it’s own. It is the best investment I’ve ever made in the fitness realm. My circumstance when I found it was that 5 years before I gotten in decent shape and had to quit do to the chronic tendonitis due psioriatic arthritis. I started lifting again after reading his series on lifting at home using dumbells in Ironman Magazine. I was cut in no time. Try this for 16 weeks and you can’t fail. I take Bill Phillips’ splits of alternating weight days with cardio days from Body for Life and Shawn Phillips practice of doing abs three days a week with cardio, but the weight training is all Mr Holman’s POF.

Forks Over Knives written by Gene Stone
What if one simple change could save you from heart disease, diabetes, and cancer? For decades, that question has fascinated a small circle of impassioned doctors and researchers—and now, their life-changing research is making headlines in the hit documentary Forks Over Knives.
Their answer? Eat a whole-foods, plant-based diet—it could save your life. It may overturn most of the diet advice you’ve heard—but the experts behind Forks Over Knives aren’t afraid to make waves. In his book Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease, Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn explained that eating meat, dairy, and oils injures the lining of our blood vessels, causing heart disease, heart attack, or stroke.
Forks Over Knives (2011)
What has happened to us? Despite the most advanced medical technology in the world, we are sicker than ever by nearly every measure.
Two out of every three of us are overweight. Cases of diabetes are exploding, especially amongst our younger population. About half of us are taking at least one prescription drug. Major medical operations have become routine, helping to drive health care costs to astronomical levels. Heart disease, cancer and stroke are the country’s three leading causes of death, even though billions are spent each year to “battle” these very conditions. Millions suffer from a host of other degenerative diseases.
Food, Inc. lifts the veil on our nation’s food industry, exposing how our nation’s food supply is now controlled by a handful of corporations that often put profit ahead of consumer health, the
livelihood of the American farmer, the safety of workers and our own environment. Food, Inc. reveals surprising and often shocking truths about what we eat, how it’s produced and who we have become as a nation.

Across 3,000 miles Joe had one goal in mind: To get off his pills and achieve a balanced lifestyle.
The Future Of Food
This educational edition features a year-long college level curriculum that serves as a companion to Deborah Koons Garcia’s documentary The Future of Food. It is based on Dr. Joshua Muldavin’s lecture course entitled Food, Agriculture, Environment, and Development.
Let thy Food be thy Medicine and thy Medicine be thy Food Hippocrates. That is the message from the founding father of modern medicine echoed in the controversial new documentary film Food Matters from Producer-Directors James Colquhoun and Laurentine ten Bosch. With nutritionally-depleted foods, chemical additives and our tendency to rely upon pharmaceutical drugs to treat what s wrong with our malnourished bodies, it s no wonder that modern society is getting sicker.

Before long, they find themselves risking everything to expose an industry they supported just weeks before.
